The Municipal Population Register provides information on the foreign population living in Catalonia according to their nationality. The annual series is available for the period 2000–2022. From 2023, the Municipal Population Register no longer offers data by nationality.
In the case of municipalities with 45,000 inhabitants and over, results are also offered by districts.
From 2021, the Population and Housing Census is produced annually and is considered the reference statistical source for the foreign population.
