BIB Library Survey

The Library Survey provides information on the main characteristics of libraries: their structure, operation, equipment, the number and qualifications of staff involved, costs and the services available.

These are census statistics, conducted every two years since 1992, which provide a territorial breakdown by municipalities, counties and Aran, Territorial Plan areas, provinces and Catalonia.

Idescat carries out the Library Survey through an agreement with the INE and with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Generalitat de Catalunya.
