Economically Active Population Survey. Review of the 2005-2013 series
The revision to the series in the Economically Active Population Survey (APS) includes the incorporation and update of the new series for population and housing derived from the Population and Housing Census 2011, which substitutes the data from the 2001 Census which have been used until the fourth quarter of 2013.
This demographic change involves the review of population weighting factors taken from the survey from the first quarter of 2002 and, therefore, updating all the results of the APS. Thus, we obtain a homogeneous retrospective series from 2002 to 2013.
In order to be able to compare the change in the demographic base in the new APS estimates, Idescat disseminates the differences in the main magnitudes for the 2005–2013 period according to the population based on the Population and Housing Census for 2001 (which is now obsolete) and for 2011.
