The Foreigners with Residence Permit statistics include the Foreigners with a valid registration certificate or residence card statistics and the Foreigners with a valid study stay permit statistics. The results are published disaggregated by the four provinces.
The original data come from the Central Register of Foreigners files, which are managed by the Directorate-General of the Police (Ministry of the Interior). These are stock data according to the characteristics of the applicants, corresponding to the last semester of the year (as of 31 December). The Permanent Observatory on Immigration (Ministry of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration) performs the statistical processing of these files.
