Survey on the Use of ICT and e-commerce in Companies 2021–2022

The Survey on the usage of information and communications technology and e-commerce in companies (ETICCE) provides information on the situation of Catalan companies in relation to the provision and usage of ICT and e-commerce. This is an annual sample survey conducted by the INE for the whole of Spain and it provides information on certain indicators by autonomous communities. Idescat expands the results provided by this operation for the area of Catalonia, guaranteeing comparability with the results of the other Autonomous Communities, Spain and other countries.

The published information is structured by differentiating between companies with 10 or more employees and companies with fewer than 10 employees.

The results presented for companies with 10 or more employees are broken down by company size in accordance with the number of employees and sector of activity. The reference period for the infrastructure, equipment and ICT usage variables is the first quarter of the year in which the information was collected (2022), while the reference period for the e-commerce, specialist ICT personnel, big data analysis, 3D printing, invoicing and data on the company's general information variables is the whole of 2021.
