Survey on the Use of ICT and e-commerce in Companies 2022–2023

The Survey on the Use of ICT and e-Commerce in Companies provides information on the situation of Catalan companies in relation to the provision and use of ICT and e-commerce. This is an annual sample-based survey carried out by the INE for the whole of Spain, and it offers information on some indicators by autonomous community. Idescat expands the results offered by this operation for Catalonia and guarantees comparability with the results for the rest of the autonomous communities, Spain and other countries.

The information published differentiates between companies with 10 and more employed persons and companies with fewer than 10 employed persons.

The results on companies with 10 and more employed persons are presented broken down by company size according to the number of employed persons and by activity sector. The reference period for the variables on ICT infrastructure, equipment and use is the first quarter of the year of data collection (2023), while the period of reference for the variables on e-commerce, interaction with public administration, staff specialized in ICT, training, data trading, ICT expenditure and data on general company information is the whole year 2022.
