On 26 May, the network of Central Statistical Bodies of the Autonomous Communities held its second plenary meeting of the year chaired by Idescat, during which various initiatives and lines of work of interest to the regional statistical systems were discussed.
Idescat and the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce organised the 1st Idescat Meeting with Analysts and Users, entitled "New Data on the Conjuncture and the Structure of the Catalan Economy". The event will take place on Thursday, 28 May 2026 in Barcelona.
The General Retail Trade Index without service stations, at current prices, increased by 7.0% on a year-over-year basis in Catalonia in April 2026.
The contribution of the Total Factor Productivity (TFP) to the growth of Catalonia's GDP in 2025 was 1.0 points, the contribution of the labour factor of 0.9 points and that of the capital factor of 0.8 points.
