Methodological note

Non-contributory pensions are awarded to people who do not have sufficient economic resources and cannot qualify for any contributory coverage. There are two kinds of non-contributory pensions of the Social Security:

Non-contributory retirement pensions: these are received by people who have reached 65 years of age.

Non-contributory invalidity pensions: these are received by people above 18 years of age who have a disability measured at greater than 65%.
