PROJ
These statistics have a specific section with all the information available: Population Projections (PROJ).
Methodological note
The purpose of the Population Projections statistical operation is to evaluate the future population figures of Catalonia, the structure by age and sex, and the territorial distribution. The Projections are based on the Population Census 2024, to which hypotheses regarding the future development of fertility, mortality and migration are applied.
Data for Catalonia have been calculated with the medium scenario of the Population Projections (base 2024). Data for European Union use 2022 population as base population.
