Indicators of Service Sector Activity. Indexes of Production and Turnover. Q1/2023

The Production Index in the Service Sector (IPROSS) (base 2015=100) increased by 4.1% on a year-over-year basis in Catalonia in the first quarter of 2023. Furthermore, the Turnover Index (IASSVN) also showed an increase of 10.7% compared to a year ago, since trade grew by 10.0% and the other services (this is to say, all except for trade) increased by 12.1%. Within the other services, the most significant increases were in professional, scientific and technical activities (20.7%), accommodation and food service activities (16.7%) and in administrative and support service activities (13.1%).
