Industrial Production Index. 06/2023

The Industrial Production Index adjusted by working days remained stable (0,0% year-over-year) in Catalonia in June 2023. By large industrial sectors, capital goods increased by 14.8% and consumer goods 0.2%, while energy decreased by 14.1% and intermediate goods by 3.1%.

In the same period, the Industrial Products Index (which does not include energy and is not adjusted by working days) increased by 5.6% compared to the same month of the previous year, and e the Industrial Production Index (which includes energy) increased by 3.4%. By large industrial sectors, capital goods (18.8%) and consumer goods (3.5%) increased; while energy (−13.6%) and intermediate goods (−0.4%) decrease.

Finally, by industrial divisions the highest increases were registered by the manufacture of transport material (38.2%) and the manufacture of pharmaceutical products (17.1%); on the other hand, the paper, graphic arts and recorded media industries decreased (−11.3%) as did the textile, clothing, leather and footwear industries (−9.7%).
