Exports increased by a year-over-year 5.1% and imports decreased by 6.5% in Catalonia in July 2023.

By economic destination, exports of consumer goods increased by 20.6% and those of capital goods by 1.5%, while exports of intermediate goods decreased by 3.1%. By geographical areas, the increases in sales to Central and South America (57.7%) stood out.

On the other hand, by economic destination, imports of intermediate goods decreased by 16.3% and those of capital goods by 7.0%; however, imports of consumer goods (18.8%) increased. By geographical areas, the decreases in purchases from Central and South America (−44.3%) and other countries of Europe (−23.9%) stood out; on the other hand, the increase in purchases from North America (21.9%) stood out.
