According to the year of construction, 22.5% of the dwellings built from 1941 to 1960 had no heating, while the percentage is 6.3% in dwellings built after 2000.

55.1% of the dwellings had some form of cooling system. According to the net monthly household income, the percentage of dwellings with a cooling system is 37.7% in households with less than 1,000€ and 69.8% in households with 3,000€ or more.

91.5% of the dwellings had a separate kitchen, 99.7% had a bathroom with toilet and 99.6% had a bath or shower. 48.9% had one bathroom or toilet, 42.4% had two and 8.6% had three or more. Idescat extends the publication of the results of the Statistics on Main Characteristics of the Population and Housing 2021. The results are disseminated for main dwellings, which include information on tenure status, year of construction, useful floor area, number of bedrooms, infrastructures and services, surroundings of the main dwellings, characteristics of the buildings and building installations.

The Statistics on Main Characteristics of the Population and Housing is compiled from the sample survey carried out by the National Statistical Institute (INE) and offers complementary information on the results of the Population and Housing Census 2021 about dwellings.
