Industrial Price Index. 11/2024

The industrial products price index (base 2021=100), which does not include energy, increased by 1.0% in year-over-year terms in Catalonia in November 2024.

During the same period the industrial price index (which includes energy) increased by 0.3% compared with the same month of the previous year. By large industrial sectors, prices of capital goods increased by 2.8% and those of consumer goods by 1.6%, while energy prices decreased by 2.4% and those of intermediate goods by 0.4%.

Moreover, by industrial divisions, the most significant increases in prices were registered in metallurgy, manufacture of basic iron, steel and ferroalloy products (3.9%) and in manufacture of beverages (3.2%). By contrast, the most significant decreases in prices were registered in industry wood and cork, except furniture; articles of straw and plaiting materials (−3.6%) and in printing and reproduction of recorded media (−2.7%).
