Business Climate Survey. Q4/2024

The business situation of companies in Catalonia in the fourth quarter of 2024 registered a balance of 10.7 points. The percentage of managers of business establishments with a favourable opinion of their business situation in the fourth quarter was 23.5%, while 12.8% had an unfavourable opinion. The remaining 63.7% considered that their business situation remained stable.

By activity sector, all sectors showed positive balances. Construction, the accommodation and food service activities sector and other services sectors performed particularly well, with balances of 14.9, 12.8 and 12.7 points, respectively.

Moreover, expectations regarding the business situation for the first quarter of 2025 registered a balance of 7.3 points. A total of 18.8% of managers believe that their business situation will be favourable, while 11.5% believe that it will be unfavourable. The remaining 69.7% believe that it will remain stable.
