Industrial Price Index. 01/2025

The industrial products price index (base 2021=100), which does not include energy, increased by 1.6% in year-over-year terms in Catalonia in January 2025.

During the same period the industrial price index (which includes energy) increased by 2.7% compared with the same month of the previous year. By large industrial sectors, energy prices increased by 6.8%, those of consumer goods by 2.3%, those of capital goods by 1.8% and those of intermediate goods by 0.7%.

Moreover, by industrial divisions, the most significant increases in prices were registered in metallurgy, manufacture of basic iron, steel and ferroalloy products (5.3%) and in manufacture of machinery and equipment (2.3%). By contrast, the most significant decreases in prices were registered in printing and reproduction of recorded media (−3.9%) and in industry wood and cork, except furniture; articles of straw and plaiting materials (−3.4%).
