Exports increased by 3.3% year-over-year in Catalonia in January 2025 and imports by 8.0%.

Regarding exports by economic destination, exports of all the goods increased: those of consumer goods by 3.1%, those of capital goods by 12.2% and those of intermediate goods by 2.7%. By geographical area, sales increased notably in North America with 9.5%, in Central and South America with 7.3% and in rest of the world with 15.4%; on the other hand, sales decreased notably in other countries of Europe (non-EU countries) with 5.7%.

Regarding imports by economic destination, imports of all the goods increased: those of consumer goods by 12.2%, those of capital goods by 10.6% and those of intermediate goods by 5.7%. By geographical areas, purchases increased notably in other countries of Europe (non-EU countries) with 30.7%, in Central and South America with 26.3%, and in the rest of the world by 13.9%.
