Industrial Price Index. 02/2025

The industrial products price index (base 2021=100), which does not include energy, increased by 2.0% in year-over-year terms in Catalonia in February 2025.

During the same period the industrial price index (which includes energy) increased by 4.3% compared with the same month of the previous year. By large industrial sectors, energy prices increased by 13.8%, those of consumer goods by 3.1%, those of capital goods by 1.8% and those of intermediate goods by 0.7%.

Moreover, by industrial divisions, the most significant increases in prices were registered in metallurgy, manufacture of basic iron, steel and ferroalloy products (5.5%) and in industries of food products (3.7%). By contrast, the most significant decreases in prices were registered in printing and reproduction of recorded media (−3.3%) and in industry wood and cork, except furniture; articles of straw and plaiting materials (−1.8%).
