Business Climate Survey. Q1/2025

The business situation of companies in Catalonia in the first quarter of 2025 registered a balance of 6.7 points. The percentage of managers of business establishments with a favourable opinion of their business situation in the first quarter was 20.1%, while 13.4% had an unfavourable opinion. The remaining 66.5% considered that their business situation remained stable.

By activity sector, trade and the accommodation and food service activities sector showed negative balances in the business situation of −2.2 and −1.5 points, respectively. Other services sector, construction and industry, on the other hand, had positive balances of 10.5, 8.6 and 7.5 points, respectively.

Moreover, expectations regarding the business situation for the second quarter of 2025 registered a balance of 12.0 points. A total of 20.5% of managers believe that their business situation will be favourable, while 8.5% believe that it will be unfavourable. The remaining 71.0% believe that it will remain stable.
