Industrial Price Index. 03/2025

The industrial products price index (base 2021=100), which does not include energy, increased by 1.6% in year-over-year terms in Catalonia in March 2025.

During the same period the industrial price index (which includes energy) increased by 3.4% compared with the same month of the previous year. By large industrial sectors, energy prices increased by 10.8%, those of consumer goods by 2.5%, those of capital goods by 1.9% and those of intermediate goods by 0.5%.

Moreover, by industrial divisions, the most significant increases in prices were registered in industries of food products (3.4%), in metallurgy, manufacture of basic iron, steel and ferroalloy products (3.0%) and in industries of paper products (2.9%). By contrast, the most significant decreases in prices were registered in printing and reproduction of recorded media (−3.1%) and in industry wood and cork, except furniture; articles of straw and plaiting materials (−1.0%).
