Industrial Price Index. 04/2025

The industrial products price index (base 2021=100), which does not include energy, increased by 1.6% in year-over-year terms in Catalonia in Abril 2025.

During the same period the industrial price index (which includes energy) increased by 2.0% compared with the same month of the previous year. By large industrial sectors, energy prices increased by 3.4%, those of consumer goods by 3.2% and those of capital goods by 1.5%; on the other hand, those of intermediate goods decreased by 0.2%.

Moreover, by industrial divisions, the most significant increases in prices were registered in industries of food products (4.0%) and in manufacture of pharmaceutical products (3.1%). By contrast, the most significant decreases in prices were registered in metallurgy, manufacture of basic iron, steel and ferroalloy products (−2.8%) and in printing and reproduction of recorded media (−2.0%).
