Industrial Price Index. 08/2025

The industrial products price index (base 2021=100), which does not include energy, increased by 0.9% in year-over-year terms in Catalonia in August 2025.

During the same period the industrial price index (which includes energy) remained stable with a 0.0% compared with the same month of the previous year. By large industrial sectors, prices of consumer goods increased by 2.8% and those of capital goods by 1.1%; on the other hand, energy prices decreased by 3.8% and those of intermediate goods by 1.2%.

Moreover, by industrial divisions, the most significant increases in prices were registered in manufacture of other non-metallic mineral products (4.1%) and in industries of food products (3.0%). By contrast, the most significant decreases in prices were registered in chemical industries (−4.3%) and in metallurgy, manufacture of basic iron, steel and ferroalloy products (−0.6%) .
