Statistics and Accounts of the Tourism Companies. 2023

The turnover of tourism companies in Catalonia was 47,707 million euros in 2023, a figure that represents a 15.8% increase in comparison to the year before. The number of companies stood at 133,752, and the sector employed 451,990 people, figures that mean increases of 5.8% and of 3.5%, respectively.

By activity, Transport of tourism generated a turnover, in millions of euros, of 8,184 (17.2% of the total), and Accommodation and food service activities of 18,970 (39.8%), while that of Other tourism services was 20,553 million euros (43.1% of the total).
