Industrial Price Index. 02/2026

The industrial products price index, which does not include energy, remained stable in year-over-year terms in Catalonia in February 2026.

During the same period the Industrial Price Index (which includes energy) decreased by 3.6% compared with the same month of the previous year. By large industrial sectors, energy decreased by 16.4%, intermediate goods by 0.9% and consumer goods by 0.2%; on the other hand, prices of capital goods increased by 2.0%.

Moreover, by industrial divisions, the most significant decreases in prices were registered in chemical industries (−4.7%) and in industries of food products (−2.4%); on the other hand, the highest price increases were registered in the manufacture of computer, electronic and optical products (6.0%) and in metallurgy, manufacture of basic iron, steel and ferroalloy products (5.8%).
