Large Store Sales Index. 02/2026

The Large Store Sales Index of Catalonia at constant prices decreased by 0.4% in February 2026 compared to the same month in 2025 in the seasonally and calendar adjusted series. By product group, the food index decreased by 1.3% and the rest of products increased by 0.7%. Compared to January, the general index decreased by 1.9%.

Idescat publishes for the first time the the calendar adjusted and the seasonally and calendar adjusted Large Store Sales Index, which allows rates of change to be calculated between months of homogeneous duration and composition and without seasonal fluctuations. This information complements that which was previously disseminated for the Index without the adjustment for these effects.

The original series of the general index at constant prices recorded a year-over-year decrease of 0.8% in February and, at current prices, an increase of 0.8%.
