Industrial Price Index. 03/2026

The industrial products price index, which does not include energy, increased by 0,3% in year-over-year terms in Catalonia in March 2026.

During the same period the Industrial Price Index (which includes energy) increased by 1.4% compared with the same month of the previous year. By large industrial sectors, energy prices increased by 5.2%, capital goods by 2.1%, while consumer goods remained stable at 0.0% and intermediate goods decreased by 0.1%.

Moreover, by industrial divisions, the most significant increases in prices were registered in metallurgy, manufacture of basic iron, steel and ferroalloy products (8.5%) and in manufacture of computer, electronic and optical products (6.1%). On the other hand, the highest price decreases were registered in the chemical industries (−3.2%) and the food products industries (− 2.1%).
