Industrial Price Index. 04/2026

The industrial products price index (base 2021=100), which does not include energy, increased by 2.3% in year-over-year terms in Catalonia in April 2026.

During the same period the Industrial Price Index (which includes energy) increased by 5.5% compared with the same month of the previous year. By large industrial sectors, energy increased by 18.9%, intermediate goods by 5.2% and capital goods by 2.2%; on the other hand, prices of consumer goods decreased by 0.2%.

Moreover, by industrial divisions, the most significant increases in prices were registered in metallurgy, manufacture of basic iron, steel and ferroalloy products (11.2%), in chemical industries (9.3%) and in the manufacture of computer, electronic and optical products (6.1%); on the other hand, the highest price decreases were registered in industries of food products (−1.7%) and in the manufacture of other transport equipment (−0.8%).
