Idescat participates in the plenary meeting of the “AI-Ready Dissemination” project

Idescat participates in the plenary meeting of the “AI-Ready Dissemination” project, organised by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), taking place online on 1 June.

Xavier Badosa, Head of Department of Digital Services and Content at Idescat, presents: “LLMs & the WWW: Towards the Agentic Web”, which addresses the need to transform websites to adapt them to artificial intelligence agents and the relevance of these changes for statistical offices.

The High-Level Group for the Modernisation of Official Statistics (HLG-MOS) of the UNECE promotes the modernisation of official statistics. The group, made up of chief statisticians from 13 organisations, has created key models such as the GSBPM and the GSIM, and promotes projects in AI, synthetic data and big data.

For 2026, it is working on two priority projects:

  • “AI Ready Dissemination”: adapting statistical dissemination so that it is easily usable by AI Systems.
  • “Trust Matters”: strengthening trust in official statistics.
