Industry Turnover Index. 05/2026

Idescat is publishing, for the first time, the Industry Turnover Index seasonally and calendar adjusted, as well as by economic destination of goods. This information complements the previously released unadjusted index.

The Industry Turnover Index (IVNI) seasonally and calendar adjusted registered a year-over-year increase of 3.6% in Catalonia in May 2026. Month-over-month, compared to April 2026, the index fell by 1.1%.

The Industry Turnover Index (IVNI) for industrial products, excluding energy, registered a year-over-year increase of 3.1% in Catalonia in May 2026. By economic destination of goods, intermediate goods grew by 4.5% and capital goods by 3.9%; on the other hand, consumer goods fell by 1.2%.
