Industry Turnover Index. 05/2026

Idescat is publishing, for the first time, the Industry Turnover Index adjusted for seasonal effects and working, as well as by economic destination of the goods. This information complements the previously released unadjusted index.

The Industry Turnover Index (IVNI) adjusted for seasonal effects and working days registered a year-over-year increase of 3.6% in Catalonia in May 2026. In monthly terms, compared to April 2026, the index fell by 1.1%.

The Industry Turnover Index (IVNI) for industrial products, excluding energy, registered a year-over-year increase of 3.1% in Catalonia in May 2026. By large industrial sectors, intermediate goods increased by 4.5% and capital goods by 3.9%; on the other hand, consumer goods decreased by 1.2%.
