Industrial Price Index. 08/2026

The industrial products price index (base 2021=100), which does not include energy, increased by 2.8% in year-over-year terms in Catalonia in August 2026.

During the same period the Industrial Price Index, which includes energy, increased by 5.6% compared with the same month of the previous year. By large industrial sectors, energy increased by 15.0%, intermediate goods by 8.0% and capital goods by 2.2%; on the other hand, prices of consumer goods decreased by 1.1%.

Moreover, by industrial divisions, the most significant increases in prices were registered in the metallurgy, manufacture of basic iron, steel and ferroalloy products (20.6%) and in chemical industries (10.0%). On the other hand, the only price decrease is registered in the Industries of food products (−1.9) and in the manufacture of other transport equipment (−1.0%).
