Retail Trade Index. 08/2026

The general retail trade index excluding service stations at constant prices, adjusted for seasonal and calendar effects, decreased by 4.8% year-on-year in Catalonia in August 2026. By type of product, according to the company's activity, food decreased by 9.1%, while other products remained stable (0.0%). In the same period, the general retail trade index including service stations at constant prices decreased by 5.6% compared with a year earlier.

Compared with July, the general retail trade index at constant prices, adjusted for seasonal and calendar effects, and the general index excluding service stations decreased by 1.0% and 1.1%, respectively.
