DPFRDI Statistics on Public Expenditure on R&D and Innovation Funding

Expenditure made by the Generalitat of Catalonia subsector to finance research, development and innovation. It is counted as the own financing or to third parties that devote the departments of the Generalitat, the Parliament and the rest of superior organs (statutory and consultative organisms of the Generalitat, POEC) to activities of investigation, development and innovation (R&D&I). The research carried out in Catalonia is financed from different sectors: administrations (state, regional and local), higher education (universities), companies, non-profit institutions and from abroad. In this action, the part corresponding to the effort of the Generalitat of Catalonia in financing R&D&I is reported, either in the form of allocation of resources to other executing agents of the different sectors, or in the form of its own execution.
