Exports increased by a year-over-year 27.3% and imports by 5.4% in Catalonia in March 2023.

By economic destination, exports of all goods increased: capital goods by 34.2%, intermediate goods by 27.9% and consumer goods by 25.0%. By geographical areas, the increases in sales to Central America and South America (62.4%), the European Union (27.4%) and other countries of Europe (21.1%) stood out.

On the other hand, by economic destination, imports of consumer goods increased by 29.2% and capital goods by 11.8%; on the other hand, intermediate goods decrease by 4.6%. By geographical areas, the increases in purchases from North America (112.4%); on the other hand, the decrease in purchases in other countries and territories of Europe (−6.6%) and in Central America and South America (−3.5%) stands out..
