The entry into force of the Order SND/257/2020, of 19 March, declaring the suspension of opening to the public of tourist accommodation establishments in accordance with Article 10.6 of Royal Decree 463/2020, of 14 March, whereby a state of alarm is declared for the management of the health crisis situation caused by COVID-19, has produced an unprecedented situation in the collection of survey data. In addition to the progressive closure since 19 March and the total suspension of activity from 26 March, there is the difficulty of collection information due to the closure of establishments, which has reduced the response rate and the quality of the estimated data compared with a normal month. For this reason, data are offered for Catalonia but not for the tourist brands.

The monthly data are still provisional since January 1999 to December 2010. The short-term data are definitive from January 2011 until last year over period published.
