UN Sustainable Development Goal indicators for Catalonia. New indicators

Idescat and the Advisory Council for Sustainable Development are incorporating new United Nations Sustainable Development Goals indicators for Catalonia.

The extension includes 51 sub-indicators (corresponding to 12 indicators, 11 of which are being incorporated for the first time), adding to the set of indicators and sub-indicators first published on 4 November 2021. With this publication, Catalonia’s official statistics now have a total of 248 sub-indicators that provide information on the 63 primary indicators in the set, making it possible to partially evaluate the degree to which 13 of the 2030 Agenda’s 17 SDGs are being met.

The system of annual indicators, which follows the methodological criteria set by the United Nations, will be progressively rolled out and continuously updated.

This statistical action, led by Idescat and the CADS, has the full support and cooperation of the Generalitat de Catalunya's departments.

The indicators announced today, within the framework of European Sustainable Development Week and coinciding with the upcoming anniversary of the ratification of the 2030 Agenda, are just one of the tools that the Generalitat de Catalunya is using to monitor the achievement of the goals set out in the 2030 Agenda.
